Opaque Lenses

But patronizing to me you need not be!

No visionless than he who has physical visibility

He who sees nature and misses its beauty,

He discards talent and ingenuity.

Don’t pity me! My friend’s face I can see!

I hear her love, genuinely pure and free.

The sincerity of her heart is enough for me.

Spared from the deception of physical beauty.

Don’t misinterpret my reality,

Miscalculate my innate ability

Wonder if nature’s hands dealt fairly with me.

For we both view our world; I pause to decree

Only through my opaque lenses I see.

But! from fear of nightfall, I am free

Not strange, for I know nothing of light

My life is measured only in hours and nights.

Implicit Conversation

Remember your dream is not mine

And mine is not yours.

But you must run well on life’s racing track.

Remember your priorities are not mine!

And mine are not yours

So, you must keep your dream breathing and intact.

Dreams set in our heads

You must spring with yours.

And I must leap with mine.

Remember, my dreams are not yours

Focus on your vision!

Keep your eyes on the finish line.

Remember, my heart is aflame!

But, with my dreams, not yours.

Your destiny awaits your touchdown.

Your arrival!

Not mine!

So, listen to the strong voice inside

It is only you, can take your dream

Up to the finish line

Garnet in Grime

What is in your hand?

Tell me! Show me!

What is in your hand?

Don’t clench your fist

The question is not amiss

What is in your hand?

Turn your wrist from your side

Show me your palm!

See! See! – a garnet covered in grime!

Scrub off the grime!

Let your garnet shine.

What do you have in your hand?

A talent, has everyone,

Don’t try to tell me… you have none!
